Snap four pretzel rods in half. Pipe icing onto the paper to create a 3x3 inch square. This is the cabin’s footprint.
2
Place two full-length rods parallel on the icing and hold them in place for a few seconds. Place two halved rods on the remaining lines of icing to complete the base of the cabin. Hold in place for a few seconds.
3
Repeat the process three more times by alternating full and halved rods with a layer of icing. (Tip: A full-length rod will overlap a broken rod to give the interlocking log cabin effect.) Allow the icing to dry.
4
Snap four full-length rods to ¾ of their full length and pipe icing on both ends. Place ¾ rods inside the cabin in each corner and lean against each other to form two “A” shapes. Let sit to dry.
5
Apply icing to the peak of the two “A” shapes. Put a full-length rod along the length of the cabin so that it’s resting across the peaks as a center beam.
6
Pipe a thick layer of icing on top of the center beam and the top of the cabin walls. Add sticks at a slope on both sides, creating a roof.
7
Fit any additional rod pieces into gaps under the roof hang.
8
Allow everything to completely dry for 15 minutes.
9
Decorate with candy and gingerbread people. Admire and enjoy!
